Peak realizes any successful Internet company requires rock-solid network connectivity, scalability, and redundancy. The demand for experienced, senior engineers created by the number of new and growing Internet-based companies cannot possibly be serviced by the available engineers. Most companies have varying degrees of in-house networking staff that can meet the needs of their corporate or small production network, but these engineers lack the necessary background to build a massive production topology that scales to the new metric for success - 100+ Gbit/s in multiple datacenters around a city, the country - or the world.
Peak bridges this staffing gap by providing the most senior engineering talent, who have previously architected multiple 10G networks, national backbones, and datacenters servicing thousands of servers. With Peak, you receive proven knowledge and experience that will not "learn on your dime."
Peak targets the top one-third of all networking needs, focusing on the most senior, most difficult, and most costly issues - ones prone to the most error. At Peak, we have no junior or mid-level engineers - everyone here is architect caliber. Hiring Peak makes sense when you...
After a few meetings to understand the scope of what the customer is looking for, what their main concerns are, and understanding the timeline to deploy, Peak typically engages in 12-month retainers. It's very infrequent that Peak simply builds something and walks away from it (as in a typical consulting engagement) because we're committed to training your in-house staff on how to operate and manage what Peak has built for you.
For smaller projects, if customers need only pricing negotiation assistance and/or a design or architecture review, Peak is happy to work with those customers on an ad-hoc, hourly basis.
Peak also brings to the table a treasure-trove of industry contacts, pricing knowledge, and vendor options to ensure you pay the best possible prices for the services your company needs. You can rest assured that the deal you negotiate is the best possible in the industry. Peak is not a reseller and never carries any paper. Our job is to set expectations with our customers on what to expect and with the vendors on what pricing we demand to not waste our customer's time.
Peak is all about networking. We have two simple mottos:
