Peak architects multiple national 10 Gig backbones, managing connectivity between datacenters around the world, implementing national transit and peering policies, and designing and implementing the local area networks in each datacenter.
Peak's customers typically outline a goal either in the number of servers or datacenters supported or a volume of bandwidth projected to be used. The entire project is then turned over to our engineers who, with the assistance of customer and technical account managers who track the project and take care of all of the "busy" work, own the entire implementation and design from start to finish.
Peak's customers are minimally on a one year retainer to design, build, and manage their network so engineers do not have the typical "feast or famine" consulting experience. Peak engineers become a part of our customers' family and are around to see each project through to completion. Peak also strongly encourages cross-pollination between customers so engineers work on multiple networks sharing lessons, expertise, and knowledge on a variety of architectures each meeting different business requirements.
